1910 Feb - John W. Peel dies at The Hermit, Burley Woodhead. Jane Peel took over the license of The Hermit when her husband died.

1910 Dec - Jane Peel inherits $10,000 from her uncle Edwin Harrison, a native of Yeadon who'd emigrated to America. Jane Peel's mother Martha Metcalfe née Harrison was Edwin's sister.
1911 Jan - Robert Peel at the age of 20, commits to serving 4 years with the 6th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment as a mechanic.
1911 Mar - Robert Peel is medically discharged from the army after just 74 days, having lost a leg.
c1918 - The Peel family move to 16 Lawn Avenue, Burley in Wharfedale.
1919 - Wedding of Ada Peel (1893-1988) to Harry Preston (1892-1961) at Burley in Wharfedale.

Sorfleet (engineer) of Upper Town, Bonsall; Arthur Newsome (stone merchant) of 4 York Terrace, Burley in Wharfedale; Robert Peel (stone merchant) & Jane Peel of 16 Lawn Avenue, Burley in Wharfedale; H. W. Smith (engineer) of 43 Marlborough Road, Norwich. The company secretary was Robert Peel and the registered office Arthur Newsome's residence of 4 York Terrace.

1922 - the Cream Bus Service was established by Fred Rathmell & Arthur Sunley. In the same year they were joined by Robert Peel and Harry Turner as co-partners.
1922 Jul - Formation of the Wharfedale Junior Combination Football League with Robert Peel as president. (Burley in Wharfedale Football History).
1924 - Cream Bus Service Limited was incorporated, the 4 partners all became directors. Robert Peel was the managing director. The Cream Bus Service ran buses to & from Ilkley & Otley via Burley in Wharfedale. Their depot was at Warburton Brothers Garage, Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale.
1925 Aug - Samuel Ledgard bought the Cream Bus Service Limited & ran it as a separate business. Robert Peel stayed on as managing director. For how long is unclear at present.
1925 Oct - Robert Peel marries Mary Woodhouse (1892-1983).
"Mary Woodhouse - daughter of Mr T & Mrs Elizabeth Woodhouse of Briercliffe, Barnsley, formerly of Redmayne, Cockermouth, Cumberland." "Robert Peel principal of the firm of Robert Peel road material contractors. Vice-president of the Wharfedale Association Football League & was president of the Wharfedale Junior Combination League."

1926 - Doris Peel (1900-1989) marries John A Rowan at Burley in Wharfedale. They go to live at Staincliffe, North Yorkshire.
1939 - Register - Ilkley District, 58 Station Road, Burley in Wharfedale. Robert Peel, occupation given as "Omnibus Transport (Depot) Inspector". Mary Peel & her mother Elizabeth Woodhouse (b1861) also in residence.
1940 Nov - Jane Peel née Metcalfe dies at 16 Lawn Avenue, Burley in Wharfedale in her 81st year. She was buried with her husband John William Peel at Yeadon.
1965 Jan - Robert Peel died at 58 Station Road, Burley in Wharfedale & is buried in St. Mary's Parish Church graveyard, Burley in Wharfedale.
1983 Jun - Mary Peel née Woodhouse died at Bradford in her 91st year.
